Chief Harting initially began his career with the Department in 1997 serving until 2000, during his time away he continued to serve in the fire service with the Covert Fire Department. In 2005 Rob returned to the Department, shortly after returning he was promoted to Medical Officer overseeing Medical Calls and Medical training. In 2011 Rob was promoted to Assistant Chief. In 2014 Rob was hired as the Department�s first full-time Chief.� Chief Harting is married with two daughters.��

A/C McGrew is a second-generation Hartford Firefighter. His career with the department began in 2008 as a firefighter. In 2013 Kevin was promoted to Lieutenant serving in that role until being promoted to his current role of Assistant Chief in 2017. Assistant Chief McGrew is married with two sons.

Captain Chappell began his career with the Department in 1996 as a firefighter. In 2005 he was promoted to his current position of Captain. Mike is retired from Hartford Public Schools and currently serves as a Van Buren County Commissioner. He is also an active member of American Legion Post #533. Mike is an Air Force Veteran.� Captain Chappell is married with three sons.�

Lieutenant Flemming is a second-generation Hartford Firefighter, Ryan initially began his career with the department as a firefighter in 2001 serving until 2011. Ryan returned to the department in 2018 and was promoted to his current role as Lieutenant in 2019. Ryan is currently employed by the Berrien County Road Department. Lieutenant Flemming is married with one daughter.

Equipment Operator Bodary began his career with the department in 2018 as a firefighter after spending several years serving the communities of Cascade, Solon and Otsego. Brandon was promoted to his current position of Equipment Operator in 2019.� Equipment operator Bodary has two sons and one daughter.

Equipment Operator Fry is a second-generation firefighter. His career with the department began in 2013 after serving several years with the neighboring Keeler Fire Department. Equipment Operator Fry was promoted to his current role in 2019. Equipment Operator Fry is married with three daughters.

Safety Officer Weberg is a forth-generation Hartford Firefighter and currently the most senior member of the department. He is one of only two members currently on the department that served on the Hartford Ambulance. Scott began his career with the department in 1980. Scott has previously served as a Lieutenant in the department. Scott was promoted to his current position as Safety Officer in 2013. Scott is currently employed by Walsworth Publishing Company. Safety Officer Weberg has one son and one daughter.

Firefighter Reed began his career with the department in 1984 and is one of only two members currently on the department that served on the Hartford Ambulance. Kevin serves as an Engineer operating apparatus during emergencies and is always willing to pass along his operating expertise to younger members. Firefighter Reed is married with one son.

Firefighter Eastman began his career with the department in 2005. Scott�s mechanical background is a great asset for the department and he is always willing to lend a hand with repairs. Scott is currently employed by Granger and operates a family farm. Firefighter Eastman is married with three daughters and one son.

Medic VanDeWiele began his career with the department in 2016. Cary also serves with the Keeler Fire Department and previously served with the neighboring Bangor Fire Department and Pride Care Ambulance. Medic VanDeWiele is currently employed by Four Winds Casino.

Firefighter Flemming�s career initially began in 2002 serving until 2011. She returned to the department in 2020. Lisa brings several years of EMS experience to the department. Firefighter Flemming is married with a daughter.�

Firefighter Roberts began his career with the department in 2019. Khuelun previously served with Watervliet and Covert Fire Departments for several years. Khelun is currently employed by AmHawk Corp. Firefighter Roberts has one daughter.

Firefighter McClellan began his career with the department in 2018. Firefighter McClellan serves as an EMS Instructor. Troy served our country in the Army. Troy is currently employed by VBEMS. Firefighter McClellan is married.�

Firefighter Hunt is a second generation firefighter, Cole began his Career with neighboring Watervliet Fire Department, starting out as a Cadet while still in high school. Cole is currently employed by VBEMS

MFR Harting began her career with the department in 2014 as a member of the Auxiliary unit. Brandy transferred over as an MFR with the department in 2016. Brandy continues to serve in both capacities as an MFR and member of the Auxiliary assisting in rehab operations at incidents. Brandi is currently employed by the United States Postal Service. MFR Harting is married with two daughters.

Firefighter Sharpe is a second-generation firefighter and began his career with the department in 2017 after serving several years with neighboring Keeler Fire Department and Pride Care Ambulance. Ian is very active in the area of training and planning within the department. Firefighter Sharpe is married with two sons and a daughter.
